What's the difference between a mirror and a window?
Simply this. When you look into a mirror, you see yourself. When you look at yourself, it may be easy to point out what might need to be changed, but since you're looking at yourself, you are so invested in what you see that it can be difficult to find effective answers to how to fix your issues.
Now, when you look into a window, you are looking from the outside into a world you might recognize or even be part of, but the difference is that at that moment, you are separated from what you see. You can see what needs to be changed, and it is easier not only to locate, but to allow the solutions to even the most challenging problems.
